Contacting previous owners

Although it took 5/6 weeks we have got the records of previous owners from the DVLA, they did a good job though with 22 pages of old documents!

In the accompanying letter says of the information, 'It should not be used for purposes unrelated to this enquiry'. I think this means I can use in relation to finding out more about the vehicle history but would it extend to contacting previous owners do you think?

If previous owners are at the same addresses I was going to write to them asking for info, explaining DVLA gave me their details etc - has anyone on here done this before?

I have, and it really depends on the person you contact really.

As they usually cherished their Minor they tend to be very nice and very happy to hear from you.

Always worth a shot I'd say, just approach with a bit of caution

i wrote to the 5 previous owners and 2 nice replies and 1 return to sender
i really wanted to hear from it's 1st owner of some 30 years but did not get a reply but what do you expect 40 years later
