I love little projects like this. Sophie now has a small black box with three period switches under the dash. Now I can have Trafficators and or Indicators and Hazards.
Also when you open a door the semaphore arm drops, then pops up again when you close the door!
I had a problem with the little green light on the indicator stick. It passed enough current to fire the relay for the indicators on the other side so I replaced the bulb with two LEDs back to back with a resistor soldered into the little metal part from a conventional bulb (you need either two LEDs or some diodes because the polarity changes dependant on which way you are indicating).
The front indicators are orange bulbs in the side light lamps (the side lights are now in the headlights). The back ones aren’t very attractive so I have made some folding brackets so that they can be hidden at a show!!
I'm sure there are lots of ways of doing this mod. I'm am pleased with the result and have not interfered with anything that cannot be put back.
Trafficators, Indicators and Hazards.

Here is the circuit diagram its very rough I'm afraid, someone might like to tidy it up for me!
The hazards do flash orange but the brightness has burnt out the image.

and the rear - they are orange but look a bit red in this pic - I have straightened the lamps up now! Now you see me.

And now you don't,

and finally the switches

Are you going to label the switches? I once had an MOT tester insist I label the extra switches on my Landy because he couldn't work out what they all did.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
Well done getting the arms of the trafficators to drop when the door opens. I can remember my Dad was for ever breaking the arm off the trafficator on his Rover when getting out the car to pop into the newsagents. Of course - he then sat on his pipe when getting back into the car and broke that too.
