Hi guys, A mate of mine has just given me a 2 door minor shell complete with glass, body panel and V5....trouble is he's chopped the floor out of it as it was gonna sit on a "pro street dragster chassis".
so what if......
i find a cheap modern car with similllar wheel base, chop the body work off and weld my minor shell onto it.
i know it sounds a bit far fetched but i reckon it'd be worth investigating, has anyone out there in club land ever done anything along these lines??????, i remember a few years back there was a stretch moggie limo powered by a pug 205 gti fwd motor.

Its not that far fetched, people have done it before with capri's, also recently there's a guy who doing one on a 200sx. Pug moggy would be interesting.
search the forum for swaps etc

The is also a few four wheel drives out there if you want to go really radical I have been told Early Land Rovers had an 86" wheel base same as a minor - may be worth a crack :)

There is a work in progress that is similar to your idea at this site - http://www.sxoc.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=219069 . It isn't to everyones taste but is a really interesting read. You should get ideas from there.

I saw one a few years ago based on Austin-Morris 110 running gear, to say it was odd is putting it mildly.
