aquatic boot

Post by Pascal »

Hi,

My boot has an annoying habit of filling up with water when I drive in wet conditions.

It doesn't happen when the car is left under the rain, so I don't think that the problem comes from the boot lid seal.

I've noticed that the grommets are missing where the rear light unit wires go through the inner wing. Would that be sufficient to let water in, or is it likely to be a hole somewhere at the bottom of the inner wings? I've tried to look but couldn't see any (difficult to see under the thick coat of wax).

Regards

As commented on your other post , get rid of the waxy covering to be able to see the extent of your problem. The grommets missing will be enough to let in plenty of water.
