Battery arrangement

When you change the polarity you usually turn the battery round so that the terminals are at the front near the strap that holds the battery in. I don't like this arrangement so I've changed the connections and left the battery the original way round.
To be honest I'm not sure if I like it any better!! I think I might put a clip or two on the red cable to support it.

If you turn the battery around, then make sure you have clearance on the battery holder or it might short.

Might be worth looking at Lincon batteries - long established manufacturers - they make batteries both ways round - and in black rubber cases with individual caps - perfect for the Morris Minor! I have one on my car, it has given very good service, and must be about 4 - 5 yrs old now!

Looking at whay you have got I would fix 2 or 3 P-clips to the narrow lip at the top of the battery tray and hold the cable in them.
