Can anybody who has one give a quick list of what the bulb part names are?

E.g. sidelights: BA9S 1895

I'm aware that I might have one in a book somewhere so if it's a case of RTFM, please tell me which M to R :-)

lots of different codes are used for some of the bulbs.... do you plan to go LED like me ? ;-)

some of the ones i know are:

Head light (halogen)
(2 required) H4

Side lights, number plate lamps
(2 + ? depends on number plate fitting) BA9, BA9S, 989, 233

Stop + tail lights
(2) 380

Indicators (+ fog and reverse common replacement)
(2) 382

Interior
(1) ~ 38mm festoon 256, 254, 239

Indicator stalk end
(1) LES 12v 1.5w 280

Panel bulbs
(2) MES 12v 2.2w 987

assume the panel indicators are the same as the panel bulbs? so another 4 required if that is true

That's the general idea.

I've seen suitable flasher units, too. What sort of price have you seen them for? They're on ebay with one of the sellers you told me about for a fiver or so.

yep 5.50 is what I paid, that guy takes a while to post as he is in the far east, but it all seems to get here OK and the flasher unit works a treat (tested, but not yet fitted to both mini and the minor)

Big advantage of the flasher unit is that because its not load dependant it would be very easy to rig up hazzard lights, one simple switch to crowbar the two flaher circuits together and that contains a light itself and it would all work fine (all these connections are available at block on end of indicator lead under dash, will work out wire combinations)
