Basically Condition class is the self-judging section of Concours which has points up to 499, 500 points and over puts you into Merit Concours.

In the Concours rules if you enter Merit Class and don't make 500 points you are automatically downgraded to Condition class (as far as I understand the official rules). Have a read of the rules, you can see them on the links page of the Custom & Modified website.

Sorry, only just got in.

If your car is to original specification you can enter it in Merit Concours and see how you get on. Depending on the results of this entry level competition, you may stay in Merit, move up to Gold, or even attain Masters status.

However if your car is not to original specification, unfortunately you cannot show at concours level.

Hope this helps.

How does "self judging" work?

I've never had a really tidy car at a show, and so have only opened my bonnet for a laugh.

Self judging is basically where each entrant is given a slip of paper on which they are asked to list three cars in order of their personal preference. At the end of the day the cars with the highest number of votes win.

Actually the National, and Regional Rallies are not self judging, condition class cars are judged by a team of judges that have nothing to do with concours. Sorry

The Kent regional rally- The Hop is self judging.

I think you will find that this is because this is not a true MMOC Regional Rally, ie a rally that hosts a concours qualifying round.
