I've been sat in the car glueing the trims and carpet. The only problem is now the world is spinning and I can't walk straight.

I had all the windows open and its windy, its a good job I'm not going anywhere this afternoon!

Still the carpets are in and the rear seats are finished. I even put the front seats in so that I could sit there and go brmmm bmmm. I'll take some pictures later if I can remember where I put the camera.

Evostick Timebond! I used that the recreate some of the trim panels in Phyllis and to stick back errant bits of carpet. The worst was when (look away now, purists!) I stuck black cord carpet to the whole of the boot. My god it's potent stuff!!

i use that also but make sure you leave it for 30 secs or so otherwise it takes ages to go off

but generally good stuff and you can spray thin or broad bits.

good for the rubber trim bits around the trasveller back doors too

I used doubled sided sticky velcro, makes it easy to remove and inspect under the carpets for leaks etc, and no fumes

Is there anything better than Evostick for sticking the bottom seal for the rear doors on a Traveller? Mine seems to get damp and come unstuck after a couple of months.

I'm planning to use Sikaflex adhesive sealant. I used it when sticking things together on my Land Rover and it's really strong stuff; the only problem is it's difficult to remove later on.

Sikaflex is great stuff, I use it on my boat. Things have to be dry when you apply it, but you have to cut it off with a scalpel as it sticks so well.

I used this when lining my roof with a custom headlining. When I came to the car later it was hanging down like a hammock.

Needless to say I shant use it again. It was a proper brand and everything.

Sikaflex is what the Ford boys use.
I used to use it for sticking bodykit to XR2s. You can also get 'Polyflex' which is a cheaper copy and 'Tiger' Seal which is similar stuff.

I'm finding it an absolute pain - all the baot fittongs have a coat of it underneath - trying to revarnish is a nightmare!
