I'm going to experiment with some Rivit nuts on some scrap plate. I plan to use a HT bolt and several washers to deform them.







you can get them in different materials and a range of sizes I'll post the results in a while.

Roger, these are excellent to use. Be carefull if using the alloy ones as its very easy to strip the threads. You are not too far from us here at Napton, so why not pop in and borrow the correct tool for fitting these, so much easier than washers and nuts.

Rivnuts? Have I accidentaly strayed into a landrover forum?

I ended up welding these in to the transit :s washers etc wouldnt work and didnt have the right tool
