Took the mog to blackpool today, beautiful day, kids happy and knackered!

Nice round trip of 100 miles with the car performing beautifully, with that plus the 62 already on the clock since the last fill (162 / (21.76 / 4.54)) = 33.79mpg. So things are improving there, given that the mixture was 'thinned' a little yesterday.

Hey ho. And to round it all off, I buzzed past a rather nice :P Austin A30 (or A35, my car recce skills are not so good!) on the way home, just approaching junction 2 on the M61. Friendly waves were exchanged of course. First classic I've seen for ages.

:D Rather good day all round (settles into armchair with large rum)! Aaaaahhhhh!!

Sounds like you met "the one".

President of the Nut Polishers I-think-your-car's-not-as-good-as-mine-therefore-you-are-a-disgrace-for-driving-it-around-in-that-condition-and-that-makes-me-a-better-person-than-you Society!!!!!

You probably only wasted your breath, but good that you told him where to get off. My mog is never going to be pristine, and that isn't what they were designed for either. AI designed them to be driven, every single day.

No offence or harm meant to all of the nice friendly nut polishers of course Bill! :D :D

No problem Graham, some 'nut polishers' use their cars more than some non 'nut polishers' No matter what condition your car is in, get out there and use it :D

I wonder if he enters his car in Concours, and competes 'like for like', or just likes winning in condition class

Hi moggyminor16, I would not worry about some "Sad Git" using Rude Comments like that. You usually fine when you investigate into their past that the car they own has been looked after by someone else and not by them...he probably has never got his hands dirty on his car and chances are he knows nothing about them other than to drive the thing. I like you cannot stand that type of "Git"...I had a tyre kicker look over my car one day.....he never came back near me after I walked over and started to kick his (tyres that is). Drive your car and enjoy it. Treat his type with the contempt they deserve
