Just fitted a leccy hookup to the mog.
Fitted the socket to the bootfloor area (never knew it was double skinned back there) and ran the cable in behind it.

Why?

Well, its on stern advice from PC Plod who apparently don't like it one bit that my two mountain bikes and bike rack completely 100% obscure my rear lights and numberplate.

Tsk..tsk.. theres just no pleasing some people is there.
Fair play to him though, he let me off with a smile.

You're not suggesting that some unscrupulous owner has welded a large patch over the top of the original steel skin are you?

I actually had a good play with it and the 'top' skin (the patch) is rotton yet the metal underneath and from inside the boot is solid... puzzling... :-?

Ahh... that just means they've welded a patch under the original skin... ;)

That was about the number of front passenger floors in a Mini I bought once. Oddly, each floor actually looked perfectly sound, so I always wondered if a previous owner had simply wanted to practice welding.

Another Mini I had wasn't quite so good - It had 3 or 4 outer sills each side, each was rotten. That was a dealer serviced/ repaired all its life car...
