Post by steve4063 »

is it normal for the pump to be clicking when the ignition is switched on just on one turn ie standby.

as i've just put it all back tog and when i was playing with the lights (all working now :D ) the pump was clicking and going mad so i disconnected it.

The pump clicking is quite normal when the ignition is on and stops when the carb has enough fuel in it and when using the car you will hear it ticking but at a much slower rate.

Yup that would explain it as a matter of interest if it doesnt tick and the car wont run give it a sharp tap as that will free up sticky points.
