Hiya,
I own a 1963 minor convertible (unwisely) in edinburgh. I have so far been pretty unimpressed by the garages I've been too for diagnosing faults properly and giving advice.
Anyone know of a good garage in the area?
Cheers
Craig

Hi Craig,
A sympathetic mechanic with a penchant for Moggies is hard to find.
I live in the Borders, and I've been lucky enough to find a wee rural family-run garage where the bloke is top-drawer and actually likes servicing Rosie 'cos he says it's a lot easier than working on modern cars with a plethera of inaccessible parts under the bonnet.
Good luck with the search, mibees a wee "back-street" garage is a good option in your neck of the woods.

Hi Craig,
Get yourself a good manual and tackle it on your own. Better still, put feelers out and get to know other Minor Owners/Branch within your area...like on here, they are a goldmine of information and always willing to help a fellow owner/member out. Garages are fine for the M.O.T. but far too many are just not up to speed on the older cars (or just not interested)
This is that above goldmine that I was talking about......you could not have entered a better place for that advice you have been seeking.
Why not ask on here...what your problems are with the car.....I am sure you will get all the help and sound advice you will ever need from people that DO know what makes your car tick.
