Carpet movement

Not a problem as such, but fairly irritating.
How can I stop the drivers carpet moving / rucking up? Is there an alternative to screwing it to the underlay?

Buy the "button" type fixings - they;re the "ring" sort that have 3 points that go through the carpet.

They're cheapish, and do stop the carpet moving.

You may need to trim the underlay to show the base part (it's screwed to the floor)

Thanks Colin,

Just had a look at them on ESM website. I'm not too keen on drilling holes though, perhaps I could superglue or areldite them to the floor pan.

How about velcro strips? Glue one side to the floorpan and glue or sew other to carpet.

I am surprised that you didn't get a set of the press stud type fittings with the carpet set. It is ok to drill holes anywhere as long as you soak the items with Waxoyl as you fit them.

They are not new carpets Willie  , I'm just trying to stop the present ones moving.
I've also got an aversion to drilling holes in cars unless I have to.
