Apart from the natural solution to bleaching wood by using Lemon Juice, does anyone know where I could get the chemical solution ? I'am told to look out for a 'bleaching kit' or two part treatment but can't find it anywhere in the normal multi store shops. Where would I have to go to get it or do I have to order it online ????

A G Woodcare do both Oxalic Acid and the Fiddes two part bleach. I think the latter contains Caustic Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide so not very pleasant stuff to work with.

Yeah, I have AG Woodcares website all right. Whats better though, the Oxalic acid treatment or the two part treatment, given that my traveller has quite a few determined looking black spots ??? Is one easier to use than the other ?

Oxalic acid treatment
I have used this in the past and it can take quite a few coatings to work and even then there can be some greyness still left, if its any help Rustins also do a bleaching treatment.

why do you want to use a bleaching kit when lemon juice will work, and smells nicer :D

I have seen the Lemon juice work, it is absolutely great, and 100% natural too for the green minded amongst us!
