Hi guys... im sure you can see where this is going already ;)
Im trying to work out how to do a cheapish type 9 conversion similar to this:
http://www.tooke.org.uk/
Basically i have had a few thoughts, i am told that the 1500 midget/spit bellhousing will bolt straight on to the marina backplate i have, but also that the marina bellhousing is longer than the triumph one. Can anyone tell me the length of the marina bellhousing? (face to face...)
The other thing is, can anyone tell me the lengths of the input shafts on the various types of type 9 boxes?
Thanks

great idea, i remember reading about the input lengths on the MG BBS. I think if you have the longer type it can be ground down to the shorter type quite easily. Im assuming the 1500 bellhousing will not fit a minor without some trimming underneath? also does it clear the steering rack??
if it looks feasable I may well attempt this conversion myself.
