A few years ago I visited a company in Croydon.
On the way back, a few miles down, the road I saw a tank (might have been a self propelled gun as had turret and big gun barrel) comming the other way !
On inspection it was signwritten with something like available for hire and was full of kids.
Great way of going to McD's for a childrens party :D

If it is the tank I am thinking about, the owner has painted it yellow. It being a tank, it breaks down on a regular basis. The owner just gets out and continues with what he was doing. when he has time, he goes back to repair it as he knows that it will still be there.

Nice one Roger
I've missed all this fun as I've been out for a run over the moors, reading through I thought the seller must be having a laugh and then realised it was April 1st, just before I read your final comments
I'm fuming now as I forgot to get the wife this morning

Not necessarily, i know people who own and/or restore tanks, there's a thriving reenactment scene which uses them
