I want to install safety belts in the front of my 1964 two-door Minor 1000.
I've searched on the site but don't seem to find the right answer to what I need to buy... :-? Maybe that's my fault and did I overlook something.
I think the best are the roll-out automatic 3 point belts, what do I use as the upper point then ? The chrome triangular metal thingy under the side windows in the back ?
Thanks for your answers and sorry if I ask a question aready answered elswhere on this site.

A 64 Minor should have mounting points already installed, but it's worth to check that they are ok - especially in the sills as the captive nuts may not be great after 43 years!

I prefer static belts, but most people prefer inertia belts. The reel and opposite end should go on the sill mounting, and the shoulder strap loop goes via the mounting under the rear side window.

To get the belt to run smoothly, it's often neccessary to lean the belt reel over to point it towards the top mounting - many belt reels will not cope with being at an angle (they have a built-in pendulum to lock the belt if the car rolls). therefore if you go to a Minor specialist and specify exactly what you want 9inertia reel belt for a 2dr saloon) then they 'should' be fine.

I found Mini ones worked fine but needed to attach the female end to the rear transmission tunnel to get the fiment right.
