How is a 1275 Midget distributor different from a 1098 Minor one ? Can I use the Minor one in the 1275 engine ?

It's a different model. Can't remember the numbers, but they aren't interchangeable

i think 1275 use a 45D and moggies 25D but maybe wrong not good with numbers

All 1098 and early 1275 engines used two bolt fixing for dizzy - can be either 25 or 45 type. Later 1275 used one bolt fixing - 49 type.
