My Morris Traveller works fine for approx. 10 miles, then stops. After 30 minutes or so, it will start & then carries on for another 10 miles. We have changed everything we can think of, to no avail. Any ideas please???

Fuel Pump? When it stops try giving it a whack and see if it starts ticking.

This happened to my Minor a fews years ago - turned out to be the coil.

It is heat related i.e. the engine has warmed up, so try a substitute coil or a new condensor(but not both at the same time), assuming that the petrol pump is still ticking as it should do. If that doesn't sort the problem then check the points gap and,if no improvement, change the rotor arm.

Or could be vacuum in the petrol tank - try taking the fuel cap off next time this happens and listen for great inrush of air. But most likely it's coil or condenser.

Have you done or had anything done to the engine recently?

When you say it 'stops', is it a gentle stop, like running out of fuel, or more sudden, like turning off the ignition. It there any other symptom, such as a misfire?
