Seat strap types

My seat straps need replacing.
I've priced up the Pirrelli webbing at my local friendly upholstery supplier and it's cheaper to buy ready made straps from Minor speciliast !
Looking it seems as if there are two types avialable - one stapled as original and other sewn.
Anyone NEGATIVE experience of the sewn type - ie it's come undone or stitching ripped webbing etc ?

Thanks.

Paul Humphries.

I've got the sewn type on mine, I replaced them last year and done about 7K with them.... no probs;
Funny though, I've just bought some from my Moggy dealership to do the A35 and they are the stapled type, maybe it's just what they have in stock at the time.

I bought a diaphram type from ESM a few year ago it was easy to fit and took my not incosiderable weight! I can't find them in the current catalogue. I think it was either a mini or metro part.
