Fitting starter ring gear to flywheel

Hi folks
I'm sure that many of you will know this already, how to fit the ring gear to the flywheel.
It is a shrink fit, the manual suggests heating the ring to between 300 & 400 deg C. As the oven doesn't get as hot as that, I put the flywheel in the freezer overnight, heated the oven to max (250C) and left the ring in for about 30 mins when up to temperature. (I put it in a cold oven)
I then slipped the ring over the flywheel with great ease. It was so easy, I thought that it couldn't possibly fit, you could easily fit a table knife in the gap!
A word of warning however.... DO ask the owner of the kitchen first!
