Do vans have different bulkheads?

I got some parts from a 70 saloon for my 71 van including the battery clamp, however when I got round to fitting it on my van it seems to be about 3 inches to short, so do all vans have wider battery boxes than saloons? or is mine an oddball, I know things like the gearbox cross members are different, and as mines got a steering lock/ignition switch, the dash looks really odd without the ignition switch keyhole in the middle!

ESM only sell one size of battery bar for the 62-72 vehicles - no mention of a different length for LCVs (http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/adv ... d&x=0&y=15)

However the bar they sell has two sets of holes in it: one set of holes are about an inch further in than the others.

I have no idea if this is a clue of any kind!!

They're identical, AFAIK. Over time, a lot of different battery clamps were retro fitted though, lord knows why...

Thats what I thought but, I never noticed the stays being 'splayed' on the saloon, plus now I look at it my battery does look a bit lost in the battery box, modern batteries are smaller than old black ones though.
