Heres my list.

starter motor
dynamo
control box
radiator
speedo
indicator switch
carb
I,m not to bothered about consumables like bulbs headlights etc, but is there anything else worth having a spare one of?
Regards
Bern

If you haven't got spares, than all thew good panels as well. Also diff, driveshaft, and glass. And the seats if you have the space ;)

It is the things that you don't even consider which prove to be the most difficult to replace such as the heater control knobs, switch knobs, and,
if it has one, an original coil, etc. If it has one then grab the wire spoked
steering wheel.

spare wheels are good and starting handle, interior light front grill, a spare rad is always good, bumbers if there alright, bootlid, door locks, in short just see whats good and take it. better to take what you can, while you can.

Anything that can possibly be removed without being broken in the process, up to the limits of your storage.

the wings! only because, my passenger side one is spongey at the headlight bit and the streering wheel, and a radio holder thing, if it has one

They're built like Mecano so I'd take everything I could physically fit in whatever you're collecting with!

As said above wings are a definite. New steel ones cost the earth and probably wont fit as well as originals anyways.

Thanks for the suggestions people, but I will only have three hours max. and having struggled with 40 year old bolts on my own van I dont think major stripdowns will be feasible, so its easily got at stuff only, where do they keep the starting handle on a saloon by the way? Dumbish question I know but I,ve never owned one, Always vans and a pick up.

Under the boot floor, I'd expect. That the storage for general kit and spares.

If you're short on time and the car is going for scrap then take an angle grinder with you for the front cross member as it will make getting the engine and box out soooo much quicker.

What would I take?

Everything!

Which might explain the slight storage problem I currently have...

Loads of room there still... you should see our double garage and the sheds :s

That's just one corner. There's also the cupboards, wardrobe, shelf unit, any available floor space...

Though a lot of it is here to make room in the garage to work on the car - I couldn't actually see the car at one point with all that in the way!
