:D Hi there is the marina brake conversion on the front just a straight forward swop over of the front legs or is there a bit more to it?
Cheers lester

There is another very similar thread on discs running at the moment - read it and all will be revealed!

There are two ways to fit the Marina/Ital front discs. A kit which uses aftermarket sleeves and re sized bearings, plus the rest of the required parts and the better engineered solution which is to have the stub axle pressed from the swivel pin, the leg machined to receive the original Marina/Ital stub axle, on to which you just fit the standard spec hub. PM me please if you require info on the latter option.
You can not swap over the front legs as they employ very different trunnion arrangements.

 cheers jonathon i think i would go the engineering route, with the maching of the upright would it be a tapered hole or just a plain parallel one for the stub axle to fit in as i have never had one apart but machine work isn't a problem for me and Marina front units a reasonably easy to get hold of.

Lester I believe that its just 'plain parallel'. you will also need to replicate the small boss which butts upto the kingpin/ backplate flange.

I imagine it needs to be a really good interference fit - you wouldn't want it coming loose on the Motorway!
