Are 4 door cars in demand? Is there any difference in the value between 2 and 4 door cars? I've found a very good slightly moddified 4 door, it's a horrible "battleship grey" colour as well. I know from a third party that the owner has had no interest in it, the colour is enough to put most people off, but I can see past that.

Its just personal preferance what you like, I just prefer a 4 door.

I prefer the 4-doors. Access to the rear seats is better, and you get a lot more shiny chrome - looks wonderful on a dark colour. Also, there are more windows to open if it's hot and there seem to be fewer of them around than the 2-doors. Of course, it's not as though they're a very rare car, but... I don't think that, value-wise, there's very much difference to choose between the saloons. As Stevey says, it's down to personal preference.

Four-doors are better, though.

When I bought mine nearly 2 years ago now I had a heck of a job.
The misses insisted I buy a 4 door and I insisted it be black as I was to use it for my wedding car.

Could we find a four door in any colour? No. Could we find any black Morries? No.

Since then however they're all over ebay - and for cheaper than what I paid!

(personally I much prefer the three doors - far more 'sporty' looking although the 4 doors look 'posher' imo)

Thanks guys for the info, I was thinking that the 4 door wasn't fashionable and hence the lack of interest in the car I've found.

I prefer the looks of the 2-door, personally. When I was looking I saw a beautiful black modified Series-2, but missed out by a whisker. I then searched for a good black 20-door car with the idea of fitting a tan interior as that's a combination I really like.

I've ended up with a pale blue car with a black interior, but hey...

just what ever you fancy go for the opposite, i wanted a 4 door and could i find one? Took ages to get one. Then my brother fancied a 2 door all we could find were 4 doors? sods law i guess.

If in good nick I dont think there is any difference in value apart from the 2 door is easier to get into especially if you are tall.
However in indiferent condition 2 doors always sell for more as the 4 door are more complex to repair especially in the C post area and rear doors.

Jim - Whilst minors may not be 'fashionable', mine has become the anti-fashion, with my colleagues at work often parking next to her because she's "cute"

I get all sorts of people asking about ours, including older folks who temporarily forget what decade it is

I outed three colleagues as former Minor owners (and asked why they are former owners).

Just think what might happen if Minors become fashionable: imagine Max Power featuring them, or kiddies gathering in the car park of the local McDonalds. Oh, the horrors...

Fashionable isnt a good idea as things can go out of fashion. I'd like Minors to become or remain a popular TRADITION!

They are a part of British culture, not a fashion!

I prefer the 4 doors... but my lovely lady liked the look of the 2 door, and when a black one came along, she was hooked! Hang on, wasnt the car for me?....
