Proper Trafficator fit

Post by Borg »

I am installing trafficators on a 61 2dr and would like to confirm fit. The upper end of arm is recessed below the body surface, but the lower end is flush. I was suprised at the fit as I thought the assy would be flush similar to the blanking plate that was removed.

semaphores

I've just checked my '57 Minor and the top of the semaphores is recessed by approx. 1/16" and the high point of the curve near the bottom is approx. 1/8" proud of the body.

Thank you for the reply. The fit on the set I purchased has the top recessed 3/8" below the body surface. I suspect I may have the incorrect mounting bracket. I can shorten the upper leg of the bracket to bring the assy flush with the body, but did not want to do so until I could verify what it should be.

Be careful, the measurements may differ on later cars than 1957, you really need another owner to confirm the details.
