Escort rear axle handbrake lever dust covers

Does anyone have any idea where I can get hold of a pair of dust covers (small gaiters) that the handbrake mechanism passes through on the back of the brake drum backplates on the MK 2 Escort (Timken - or English) rear axle??
I have tried Ford themselves (discontinued part)
JLH Minors - where I got the axle from (can't get any)
Capri and Escort spares (only got knackered ripped ones!)
Small Ford Spares (too new a car for them!!)
Classic Ford Spares (number no longer in existance!)
Apparently (I was told) that they may be listed under Lucas, Lockheed, Girling, or Part Co. So I rang my local Motor Factors (pretty good chaps who usually know what they are doing) and they can't find them listed either!!
I was also told to try the Ford owner's club, but I can't find a contact address anywhere on the internet! (amazing eh??)
Someone must do them! I find it hard to believe that all the MK 2 Escorts are going around with the original rubbers, or none at all.
Unfortunately I have been driving around without any for quite a while now, and the gradual water ingress has caused the handbrake mechanism to sieze, which I have now freed off and coated in copperslip but I don't want a repeat performance!
Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received!
