Hi everyone,

I've got a duplex conversion kit, hurrah, but as we all know it requires the drilling of two countersunk holes; the kit box says what is needed is the following:

A ½ inch diameter countersink bit, of inclusive angle 85°

Does anyone have one they could lend me? Image I'm reluctant to shell out on a bit which I'm only going to use once! I'll pay postage, obviously.

Are the bambi eyes helping, here? :)

I just use a largish drill bit. It's not perfect - but it works.

Ah - well in that case, you'll need to find other uses for it over the next 20 or 30 years!
Tools are never an 'expense' they're an 'investment' (or so I keep telling myself) 8)

I too used a large drill to countersink sufficiently to clear the whirring bits. you could sharpen yours to the required angle.

By the way its best to take the front plate off and do it off the car, (I did :D ) but I know the cowboys(!) do it in situ.

..ducks and waits for comments........

No problems there, as the whole van is currently reduced to its constituent parts and the engine is in the back of the garage

In fact I need a break from working at home I'll go and post it now!

No hurry I've just done the same job on Sophie, but as Rayo O'Flem says you always find other jobs for it!
