I've noticed a lot of threads that eventually come down to a discussion of what does, and does not get tested at the MOT, and what constitutes acceptable or failed state of various things.
I found this site which seems to cover every aspect in a lot of detail, and certainly surprised me with some of the things that aren't actually tested at all (and others that seem to be overly picky).
This is the introduction page, which has a link to "MOT Index" that covers each piece in detail.

Hope this is of use to people.

Cheers, Axolotl.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.
