Hi guys, as some of you know as well as owning a mm I also own a royal enfield bike and last year put on a run (South Coast Run) and 14 bikes turned up for it and we had a great time, so-much-so the guys have asked me to put on another one this year.
However, I also wanted to try to organize something for mm owners too.
So I have come up with the idea of doing a run with mm’s and re’s riding/driving alongside each other. At this moment I have interest from 4 other re owners and my wife will be driving our mm.
Below you will find the proposed planning, if you like you could also stay at alternative campsites which are cheaper in the forest however the don’t have the same facilities.

Maybe you may wish to turn up just for the Sat/Sun run which is also okay.

If you are interested in joining us please leave a message on this thread and I will keep you all updated.

The proposed date I now have in mind is Fri - Sun . 29th June - 1st July

Venue would be Sandy Balls see http://www.sandy-balls.co.uk/index.asp
A nice site ideal for those wishing to bring wife's and children, bar,
indoor pool, shop, showers etc, not as big as last years venue in Selsey
but never the less ideally situated in the New Forest and good tenting
facilities.

Day 1 Fri: meet in bar for a few beers

Day 2 Sat: ride out to Forrest Classics see
http://www.forestclassics.co.uk/index.html to meet Kev & Jenny for a
coffee and look and their collection

Then ride onto Beaulieu Motor Museum see
http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/motormuseum/introduction.cfm NOTE allow a few
hours here, ride back to campsite taking in areas such as Lyndhurst etc.

Eve: meet in bar for a few more beers

Day 3 Sun: take a ride out to Sammy Millers Museum see
http://www.sammymiller.co.uk/museum.htm a must for all classic bike
lovers, back to campsite, pack up and say our goodbyes

The East Kent club have allready organised something simmilar for Easter. Why not organise a drive to meet us there at that time?

I've seen Forest Classics but never been in, even though there's been a black 4-door split-screen parked there a few times. Just seen I can get oil from them, I might have to remember that...

If you want a spot of lunch between Forest Classics and heading for Beaulieu then try one of the pubs in Woodfalls (the next village past the garage).

Both are good: The Woodfalls Inn does very good food and beer but is not particularly cheap. The Old Inn also does good beer and decent food at more reasonable prices.

The Old Inn has parking for about 15 cars, but if there's a lot of people you could park in my garden and walk the 400 yards to the Old Inn. With organisation we can get about 25 cars in the front garden and maybe 20 in the back.

John, when are the Kent lot descending on the Forest? If we're around it might be nice to meet up.

Yes, it will be good- you can see my Traveller is not quite as good in real life as it is on a compressed Jpeg. I will post more information on the SADMOG thread.

cheers
John
