The GMMG 21st Anniversary Rally is being held in the grounds of The Cotswold School, Bourton-on-the-Water on Sunday 13th May.

We have returned to Bourton again by popular demand and we have more space for what we hope will be our largest rally ever! It is also the GMMG 21st Anniversary and we hope no one will be discouraged as unfortunately we ran out of space last year.

The Cotswold Motoring Museum is just one of the many attractions for visitors to Bourton so why not bring the whole family when you come?

The event will follow the usual format, self judging and prizes awarded for best in class. For entry forms please see

Please click to download the 2007 GMMG Rally entry form here as a PDF

Please send them with a cheque for £7 to GMMG and a SAE to the - Rally Secretary, 176 Brooklyn Road,Cheltenham, Glos, GL51 8DY.

A warm welcome awaits you in the Cotswolds, its MM country! See you on Sunday 13th May.

Bourton-on-the-Water is on the Fosse Way, the Roman road, between Stow-on-the Wold and Cirencester.

The whole area is utterly gorgeous, and well worth the trip. I'm pretty sure we'll be there.

Graham we would like to see you!

Here is a link to the map for the Cotswold School, GL54 2BD. The directions from the A429 Fosse Way are to take the signposted turning into Bourton on the Water by the traffic lights. The Cotswold School is then on your right after a few hundred yards.

If anybody can help out by displaying a rally poster for us we have one to download here.

Thanks
Al

Hello everybody

Just an update to say thanks for the 50+ entries that we have had already. We have ordered some more rally plaques and we have lots of room so we look forward to seeing you all.

Please click here to download the 21st Anniversary Rally application form. The entry fee is £7. Please send in your forms with an A5 envelope (to avoid the new postage charges) to The GMMG Rally Secretary, 176 Brooklyn Road, Cheltenham, Glos. GL51 8DY

We will arrange for the prize giving to be early so you can have the afternoon free to explore the village. The Cotswold Motoring Museum group entry fee for rally entrants will be £3.25 per adult.

We are trying to invite a few of our friends along to entertain you!

See you all soon in Morris Minor country. Its only a month or so away now!
Al

Calling all Convertibles!

Please send me a private message if you are coming to our rally in a convertible/tourer and are up for a bit of afternoon silliness. Without giving the game away, 15 of our good friends, the lovely ladies from Stroud, will be joining us and we need to transport them around Bourton and maybe over to Lower Slaughter in style. We have 3 volunteer Minors so far, but we could do with at least another 3 convertibles. It should be a good laugh. Bring your cameras.

Also confirmed is Carlo coming all the way from Bournemouth with a big trailer load of Morris autojumble. We will have our rally sponsor, Mark from Bull Motif, with his big Morris spares stand as usual.

See you all soon.
Al

Is it too late to enter?

Hello Rasputin

No its never too late to enter - we would like to see you!

This is the rally entry form link. The entry fee is £7. However it really does help us with the organisation (ok disorganisation) if you could all send your forms in asap. If you want to turn up on the day we will still charge you £7, but we can't necessarily give you a rally plaque to take home, as its looking like we will run out of them this year!

We now have 5 Morris Convertibles confirmed who are volunteering for special duties! Is anybody handy with a video camera who could make us a U-Tube video? 8)

Cheers
Al

No, as above we welcome all Minors and interesting classics, please send your entry form in!

The rally programme will hopefully be finished a few days before the rally so please try to post your form and £7 cheque to GMMG to arrive on Tuesday 8 May at the latest.

You can download a rally entry form from the link earlier in this thread. Having your details in advance really helps us all, as it "should" help keep the queues down for entry to the rally field.

If you miss that date then please send me a private email with some basic details so we can put a rally pack together for you and allocate you a class number. However we can not guarantee a plaque for late entries and we will still charge you £7 as it gives us more work on the day!

If you don't want to enter the rally you are still welcome to call by and say hello, but strictly our insurance does not allow for you to park on the rally site. We will ask you to fend for yourself in the Bourton public car parks.

This is going to be a big rally for us so please do come along. Please take care, especially all of you travelling a long way. Welcome to MM country.

Al

Just a quick update. We have about 90 entries confirmed now. Can we make a 100?

Our friends, the lovely ladies from Stroud, will be coming along to entertain you anytime after 11am.

We suggest you dont post any more entry forms now, please just come along and we will do our best to welcome you.

If you are a message board user please display your nickname on your windscreen number card so we can all say hello.

Have a safe journey and see you all soon.
Al

Ahh Judge you are a man of property - you are making us all jealous now with the thought of an empty shed. :P Or is it the one on page 31 of the Sept/Oct 2006 MM?

How about emptying out the old one and bringing the auto jumble along to the rally instead?

Al

PS So what does the "call of a new shed" sound like then ... Fill me?

Received the confirmation the other day. Thanks washer-bottle. Just have to sort out the throttle cable and a fuel leak plus underfelt and carpets to quieten things down if there's time. :)

Thanks to everybody who came to Bourton under Water today to support our rally despite the terrible weather. The turnout was suprisingly good even if most of the convertibles did not show up!

The lovely ladies from Stroud were still able to do a bit of Morris Dancing in the rain.

The rally results were as follows - congratulations to you all for a very high standard.

MM/Series II - Kevin Stafford-Pruett of Gloucester with "Emily".
1000 2 Door Saloon - Alex Smith of Evesham with "Morris" the police car.
1000 4 Door Saloon - Donna Fracchiolla of Cardiff with "Merlin".
Traveller - Ron & Dee Watson of Stoke St Michael, Somerset with "Ruby".
Convertible - Mike Fison of Dorset with "Penny".
Commercial - Neil Tomlinson of Wellesbourne with "Marmite".
Open Class - Michael Evans of Cheltenham with his 1955 Austin A30.
Wreck of the Rally - Jonathon Harding of Northampton with his Million.

Here is a picture of Morris dancing in Lower Slaughter.
