MOT and driving test success!

Post by mauricethebumblebee1 »

Hi, I've been a member of the club before when i was learning to drive, and have recently joined again, following driving my car to uni...Bristol to Birmingham...Motorways are not so fun! Maurice the bumblebee just passed as did i, and i wanted to know how to get some pictures on this site so u can all have a gander...Being a student, it was a budget restoration with lots and lots of welding done by me and my oldest brother. New seats, disc brakes, alternator and a spin off oil filter have also been added over a couple of years, along with our old dining room carpet, not just on the floor, but on the ceiling too! Couldnt afford the head lining! It has also been painted by me twice, once with a roller in a desirable hamerite blue! and now, by brush in hamerite yellow/black...hence the name. I have also replaced the clutch, and front wheel bearings....and all my suspension bushes. I would also like to know if there are any local events/rallies coming up! Hope to see some of u soon. Ben

Welcome Ben - it sounds like your mog should stand out in a crowd! I like the fact that you did the welding yourself - that means another Minor still on the road.

Well done on passing your test and having such a striking moggie! I've got my test on the 11th of feb so am keeping my fingers crossed, especially as I've just got delivery of my moggie! This site is brilliant for tips etc and very friendly too.
