hi, new here, will be helping mate of mine, restore his 70 minor pick up...got a few questions, to ask and they dont all fit in the same forum....
first thing
replacement engines, we cant be bothered to faff about with rebuilding the one thats in there...so whats a good replacement engine, or where to buy a good replacement engine ?
disc brake conversion, he wants disc brakes on it, what set to look for? who does kits? etc?
panels, wheres the best place to source panels for, for these......
what kind of level would you put them on restoration wise....ive done work on a few cars, are we talking vw beetle easy, or we talking more complicated....

ESM (East Sussex Minors) do the parts/panels/kits you're after, as do Bull Motif and all the other traders. As for degree of ease, if the chassis is sound, Beetle easy, if it isn't, trickier, or saving up and buying another chassis easy

Panel alignment is not easy on commercials, just take a look at some restored examples! If you're careful with measurements and take time it pays off.

just cant believe it thow, he was the most down to earth person you will ever meet....he will tell you if your right or wrong, hes been there done that...he made his million working as a docker, with on the side deals(legit obviously)...but just such a shock, was at our house the other night having a laugh, telling me what he wants with the minor....just cant get over that the only one of my dads friends, i actually have time for
