Oh great and knowledgeable ones!
I am ignorant of the secrets of the universe/Minor and cannot find this piece of information in the suspension section of the workshop manual, wherein I thought it would lie.
I therefore beseech thee, impart of your wisdom and tell this humble supplicant what size pins he should obtain for the tie-bar castellated nuts.
Alternatively, is it acceptable to use nylock nuts instead?
I'd get a selection of sizes. Normally come in a box of a 100 or so.
There is always the need for different sized split pins.

3/32" x 1" long. Foreign equivalent might be o.k. but could be a bit loose in the hole. Maybe buy longer as they can always be shortened or as has been suggested obtain an assortment, always useful to have.
Well Nylocks are designed where a nut needs to absorb vibration and can be used in various locations, and of course they can only be used once, the forerunner would have been a nut and springwasher or similar.
Castellated nuts which generally have 6 slots are slightly more flexible and once tightened are then adjusted to the relevant slot forwards or backwards depending on application and the split pin inserted, so the nuts are also resusable as well as adjustable (not the split pins though) unlike a nylock, so they are much more user friendly.

Thanks. I agree on the re-use thing, nylocks are only supposed to be used once, and it's probably easier to find split pins than imperial sized nylock nuts.
All Minis have nylocks on these bars (v similar suspension arrangement to Minor) and I have re-used them over and over without any problem. If worried - a wee drop of Loctite could be applied!
