It's a "film set" village on a private estate so, as far as I know, it's not open to public.

As far as I know the film set is in the grounds of Harewood House Nr; Leeds, but I may be wrong  I've been to a few classic car shows at Harewood but never seen the set..

I quote from www.yorkshire-dales.com :-

At present the TV show is filmed on a purpose built set on the Harewood House estate near Harrogate, though title sequences for very early episodes of the soap (when it was called "Emmerdale Farm") were filmed up at Arncliffe in Littondale, (from where it is believed the series derived its title - "Amerdale" being the ancient norse name for Littondale).

For a long period the village of Esholt (near Bradford in West Yorkshire's Bronte Country - not actually even part of the real Yorkshire Dales area) - was used as the fictional village of Beckindale (where most of the action in the series is set).

No Bill I didn't know that
Harewood is one of a few shows that I don't mind paying for, it's worth the £3 to look around the house, bird garden & grounds as I'm sure you know
