Morris Minor Owners Club

i posted a few days ago about a morris minor i had bought in my village.....i have been driving it around the village happily but there is a problem! after 6 miles or so it starts to hesitate,,splutters a bit, limps along abit then stops! if i leave it 20 minutes she will start up again and run fine for a while before doing it again...
she has had new points, plugs, condensor, petrol pipe.....
she was sitt ing on a drive for a while not driven..
any ideas?

Does the petrol pump run? You should be able to hear it ticking. It sounds like starving of fuel to me.

yes its either the the stop valve in top of float camber has dirt in it held in by big nut unscrew it and dirt in there or pionts have closed up wre no lube been put on middle spindle should have grease on it

other thing is a break down in the coil when gets hot

I take it that this is the same problem that you've got posted under "mechanical" - see some ideas there as well
