By the way when is the next website rally due?

And shall I arrange it for Coventry Transport museum? I was sad to miss the last one...

Thanks, El.
Well looks like the Ball is in your court to organise things as nothing has been done so far, Thanks for offering

Relfy, as you know I offered to organise one a little further north, but there really wasn't much support for it. So I for one will take you up on your offer. Any weekend you like, but it would ne useful to stop over I suppose, so somewhere with camping / decent b+b? Anyway, cheers for volunteering.

Would anybody be interested in going to Kedleston Hall, near Derby?

Ma-in-law is one of the stewards and is friends with Lady Helen Scarsdale (the current resident). It's a fabulous place, but I'll have to ask if there's somewhere in the park we could camp.

It looks a fantastic place and is a bit closer to me so I have no objections atall! Bear in mind that the previous website rallies have been free parking etc. (and normally motor-related, although I dont think thats a hard and fast rule).

But need to make minds up soon, so that someone can organise it, so which is it to be? Coventry transport museum or or fantastic house in Derby?... right how do I make this into a poll? :-?

I have to do some digging about feasibility of Kedleston. They have all sorts of events there, but I need to ask about some things. I'll probably come back after new year with more information.

The National is heading towards always a big house in the Midlands, so I'd vote for Coventry as somewhere a bit different, and with more to interest non car people (ie shops!!). Haven't managed to make a Web rally yet, but live in hope for 2007 :)

I was up in Derby over Christmas and mentioned this to my in-laws. Apparently using Kedleston will not be cheap...

An alternative was suggested: Donnington Park.
A couple of options suggest themselves:
1) arrange a Web Rally to coincide with a Meeting. Looking at the program, The Historic Sports Car Club have their first meeting of the year on Sunday 31st March. COuld be good?
2) if possible, get perhaps half an hour clear track time to set a MMOC lap record :-)

No idea of costs for these but I'll follow up with the circuit. Tickets for a raceday like the HSSC shouldn't be very expensive.

There is a campsite next door to the circuit and various B&Bs in and around the village of Castle Donnington.

What do you think?

Cornwall is very cheap at the moment, B&B's very cheap right now. if we had it before end of February it would be quite nice as i levae shortly there after. I have aplenty of room and a huge secre parking area outside my place. probably hold 20-30 cars and secure.

Graham, great photo's the ford pop is a carbon copy of my dad's first car... the first car I "drove"... ok I was only stearing sitting on his lap and he was stearing too, one of my earliest memories <laffin>

The whats this car... they were common in the late 60's and 70's have a feeling they were either scandinavian or italian.... they were a bit like the riley elf and the hilman imp... nice looking car and seemed to be loads of them about then they vanished... I was into mini's at the time (shame on me) would say proper mini's but mine was a clubman <cest la vie>
