Minor/Marina Brake drum.

Post by Naadeslaus »

Does anyone know if it is the same brake drum on a 1.8 Marina that it is on a Minor?
Best regards Kim

Definitely NO. Different pcd for the studs apart from anything else. Mini brake drums can be used on the rear of all Minors (except the v early ones with wheel bolts), and on the front of 803/948 Minors with the 7" drums. 1098 Minors have 8" drums at the front. It 'may' be possible to drill new stud holes in the marina drums (if they are 8" ?) - but you would need to have the drums side by side for comparison.

Marinas use a Triumph back axle - Very much Dolomite. So if you're looking for a source of shoes because Marinas aren't listed in the books, try asking for Dolomite ones.
