Oil Filter wires?

On Morris minors without a blocked oil filter warning light facility; where do the wires from the light (that would be the warning light) go to? I thought they might be non existant but they are definately there behind the speedo and my car does not have the sensor on the oil filter housing.
Any help greatly apreciated.

On second thoughts I should have posted in electrical.

The wire is there in the harness all the way down to near where the oil filter is. (Where the "blocked" switch sender would have been).
My car (1971) even has the spade connector all ready to plug in.
The loose end will probably have been taped up out the way either at the factory or by a previous owner.
I guess it was not worth changing the harness and assembly procedures for the speedo cluster when they stopped using the blocked filter sender.

Thanks Axotol, I did have a look but haven't found them. I hope they have not been cut as I'd like to use them for a spot light 'warning'.

From memory, there's only a single wire running down the harness to the switch. (Green/white or green/yellow?).
The power comes from the voltage stabiliser to the warning light, then down the harness to earth via the switch.
To use it as a warning light for your spotlight, you'll need to disconnect the supply side of the warning lamp from where it comes off the voltage stabiliser, and connect that wire to earth instead, then feed power from your spotlight circuit (live when the spotlight is on) into the sender wire at the oil filter end of the harness.
There is a simple wiring diagram here
http://www.morrisminoroc.co.uk/index.ph ... ic&t=13006 that shows the way the light is wired before you start.

Green/ yellow.
From memory it's dark green piggybacked off back of stabiliser, into bulb holder, back out as green/ yellow and earths through the switch in the housing.
But any bulb holder that fits teh speedo would do for a warning light. Actually, as I have a box full of tatty speedos I'd go about finding a prettier colour than orange and swap the lenses as well! But I do find a strange enjoyment out of over complicated trivial little jobs...

As the Minor has the indicator warnnig on the switch, why not go for green? Can probably pick a green lens up for pence from a Mini specialist

Yes green would be good, or even purple!
