Dunno if it fits - but you might want to consider that it will have had a hard life with a 2.8i !!

well it says good working order, and i suppose you pay your money etc, I know it will need a new bell housing I was more concerned about ratios. If its off a 2.8i it should cope with a 1275

Got a link? The one I saw looks like it has the bellhousing built in. Even though it says the bellhousing is not pictured :-/
From my various researches I think you're best getting one from a 1.6 or 1.8, but don't take that as gospel. As BMC says, a 2.8 will have given it a hard life even though it's rated for around 200bhp.
I have one and another is arriving with my new engine, so I'll have a spare fairly soon...

It is certainly an offer to sell my spare when I get the new one. That should be in a week or so if you can wait.
No idea how much. I'll look at the one that's coming and see what sort of condition it's in then let you know. If I've forgotten in a couple of weeks get in touch

I'd go for the standard 1.8 or 2.0L boxes. The 2.8 V6 box has a longer input shaft and very different gearing. Its longer in 1st and 5th is very much an overdrive so unless you have significant power to be able to drive these gears, then the standard ratios will suit better. The true V6 box has a different boss on the face of the gearbox, and has much better bearings. If the boss isn't there then it ain't a V6. This boss may also interfere with the bellhousing as there should be a cut out made to accomodate it.

B'ham MMC and C.Street of C.S Autoclassics/Opus cars do the bell housings, they do cost but are very good value considering the set up and casting/machining costs
