Hi there,

can anybody help!? Wanting to fit digital gauges to my 69 two door. I need to know fuel sender ohms when full and empty.
Don't have the wiring in yet so can't check myself.

Any ideas!

Cheers Cam

HI Cam (2)

The original system measure the voltage across the resistoe, taken from the voltage stabilise....
As noted on other threads, this isn't a solid state regulator, so it doesn't give an absolutely steady output, nor will one car's resistance values transfer directly - I'm assuming that there is some manufacturing variation - let alone the contact and earth resistances...

You might be better using the voltage measured off the transducer, you might even be able to compare that with the stabiliser voltage to remove that variation.

Cheers,

Colin
