MM Heater

Post by Squiggle »

Hi

Heater finally fitted and purrs beautifully but blows cold air!

Pipe from engine to heater is hot but other is cold.

Air lock? Matrix duff?

Can this be rectified? Or do I have to continue to dress like I'm planning a trip to the North Pole?

Major thanks to everyone who has helped in fitting the heater.

It does look good tho' with it's little Smiths logo/badge

Hi Squiggle,

Someone might correct me on this, but did you have the heater lever set to "Hot" when refilling? I've been told in the past that the heater switches must be set to "Hot" when refilling with coolant to stop air locks from happening in the heater matrix.

First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

True, but there is no such option on the early heaters, it's a matter of all or nothing really:D

There is however a smart little tap on the top of the block, and that is open, because one of the hoses gets hot

But it works beautifully now!

All I did was take the beast for a run a day later!

Will flush it through tho', just for good measure.

Ahhhhh warm toes!
