The good news is it worked first time. My wife was inside and pumped the brakes to my command. The pedal went firm in next to no time and after 2 circuits of the bleed nipples there was only an inch and a half of fluid in the jam jar. The Pedal feels fine to me, but it will be weeks before they get a real test.

I think the problem lies in the rear cylinder design and arragement.

I know this has been discussed several times but here are some pic to illustrate the problem

This is the path the fluid takes when bleeding the rear cylinder.



There is only a small hole in the cylinder;



My solution is to fill the cylinder with brake fluid just prior to bleeding like this;



I hope thats not teaching my grandma to suck eggs, but I thought it might be usefull

Great stuff Roger just one question as you replaced the whole system did you stick with Dot 4 or go for silicon fluid.

Silcone - I don't really know why I decided to go that way - a bit of an impulse purchase.
