Should the vacuum unit on distributor point straight up or point to the front of car. IIRC it should point up. Just seeking confirmation.
At the moment mine is pointing to front of car. Suspect I have got distributor drive gear in one tooth out.

As long as it fits and the plug leads reach without being tight - it doesn't really matter.
