Rear 3 point belts for a traveller

I have three children and would like to fit at least two 3 point (shoulder) belts and a centre lap belt or ideally 3 shoulder belts in the back of my traveller (can't decide which child I like the least for the lap-belt - only joking!) but still would like the option of putting the back seat flat. I live in Kent - any ideas??

I can't see how you get three lap-and-diagonal seatbelts in a Trav. We have two, with the reels bolted to the rear wheelarch. I think that's the normal way.
Make sure you get the right units - they need to be adjustable for fitting orientation.

Yup, the normal mounting point is through the rear arch. Won't stop you folding the seats down

The only 3 point belts I've seen (not many) in the middle of a back seat seemed to put the top mount on the roof. Given that the Trav has a piece of ally sheet doing the job of a roof, it's hard to see how you could do the same sort of thing without fitting a lot of steel framework.

most new caes have the middle 3 point fixing as part of the rear backrest. it might be possible to re-engineer the back seat to accomodate this force but i would say that the time and effort would be too much for benefit as the only true test is in an accident. could a bar be fitted to run across the car at the rear to spread this load to the structure of the car? luckly i do not have a traveller, and even more lucky i only have 2 little passengers to accomodate

could a bar be fitted to run across the car at the rear to spread this load to the structure of the car?
I have seen a bar fitted wheelarch to wheelarch in a Traveller but cannot remember what type of seat belts were fitted to it.

Thats what I'm planning to do in Mirium Kevin... Manufacture a pole out of scaffold and permanently bolt it between the sides with the 3 inertia belts fixed to that.

Many thanks, kind fellow-owners - I also rang East Sussex Minors and they said the same re the wheel arches so that is the plan.
