Got chance to do some more on Bluey today
While my whife made short work of the front off side wing (which we know know is fibreglass) I got all the bolts out of the near side but ......no movement on the near side! some *********** has welded the wing on as well as bolted...next step will be cutting it off but it took a few hours to get to this stage so my back has told me enough is enough for this weekend.

WHY do people do this? It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying, and ends up damaging the car 9 times out of 10 by creating rust traps where there were none...

THis is just what has happened, in stead of taking the wing off and welding in a repair panel they have welded a pannel into the arch and over the rear area of the wing. Now the door has dropped and obviously the area uder this bodge is totally shot.
PS could a mod please change the title of the thread to Bluey's progress.
Thanks

Bluey will have everything done 100% spot on, regardless of time or cost...

That said I am considering a flip front  has anyone done one with an idiot proof mounting kit yet?

Your best bet for flip-front advice is to drop Jonathon a PM or head off to the JLH Website

Depend on what they are being compared to ;)
Trust me, most of the filch and the front subs need sorting

Just comparing them to my LCVs. That flitch looks just about immaculate next to them :D
