Hi all, has anyone used a tappet adjuster and if so are they any good and does anyone have one for sale or one that they could lend me (I will of course pay for the postage). And how simple are they to use.

YES, YES, NO, YES, VERY.
Hi Jimmy 1st thing I need to do is locate it, they are quite good when you have worn rockers because when the rockers get worn the feeler guage does not give an accurate reading unless you trim them down to a much narrower size.
With the tappet adjuster you close the rocker down using the large large adjuster to give no clearance and then undo it the relevant number of clicks to suit the clearance and this gives an accurate setting.

Hi Russell I was not aware that it was still showing as jtd.25 as I have (thought) i had changed it and sent you a pm with the correct address. I was agetting a lot of spam mail after my address was shown on various sites. hence I have not displayed the new one on here.
