Anyone make fibreglass parcel shelves ?

My parcel shelf is sagging due to, I assume, being overloaded by previous owners.
I've been thinking and a Mini / A35 style front rail with space for additional switches under heater would be useful and wonder before I "reinvent the wheel" whether anyone already makes such (or even a standard parcel shelf that could be adapted) in fibreglass.

Thanks.

Paul Humphries.

I know someone who might, but I am no longer allowed to say who, since I will start working there.

PM me if you want to know

you could make a parcel shelf out of a sheet of hardboard. Just use the old cardboard one as a template. A previous owner did that for my 4-door and it seems to work well enough.

Or a sheet of thicker ply. Worries me that it's going through the shins in a crash, but it's supported by a thick piece of angle steel anyway. One of these days, I'll make a wooden front beam to ameliorate the pain...
