Bobcart need a MOt end of the month

Are theses MOT failures.

Took the wheel of to check the brakes what sort of condtion they are in.

The drums and shoes are heavly scored. will this effect the braking effectiveness

the track rod end. The rubber bit on it is squashed/ripped with grease coming out. ( do the rubber cones keep the grease in from the nipple)

Cheers

Track rod ends, are, shoes heavily scored may show up on the brake test but see what they are like when driving. If they are very bad then you may need to do both shoes and drums. :(

Yep - TRE rubber covers must be in good condition - they are available from Bullmotif - but if the joint shows any sign of movement you may as well replace the whole thing. The question is - do your brakes lock all four wheels ? That's not the MOT - but it's a fair indication - if they don't lock and the car pulls to one side - then they will NOT pass .
